Sona Heiden Reveals Why She Refused Multiple Films with Vadivelu after Kuselan 2008

Actress Sona Heiden has recently stirred conversation in Kollywood after revealing that she declined more than 16 film offers that would have paired her with veteran comedian Vadivelu. The actress shared that her decision was based on personal reasons and the importance of maintaining self-respect.

Vadivelu controversy: Sona Heiden’s Experience After Kuselan

Sona appeared alongside Vadivelu in the 2008 Tamil film Kuselan, directed by P. Vasu. The movie was the Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit Katha Parayumpol and featured superstar Rajinikanth in a special extended cameo.

Following the film’s release, Sona reportedly received numerous offers to act opposite Vadivelu in other projects. However, she recently revealed in a social media post that she turned down all of them.

Sona Heiden Vadivelu issue: According to Sona, she declined over 16 film offers, stating simply that she “couldn’t handle him.” She also added that self-respect is more important than professional opportunities, making it clear why she chose not to collaborate with the comedian again.

In her statement, Sona used the phrase “Aala Vidungada,” a casual Tamil expression meaning “leave it” or “forget about it.” The phrase reflected her lighthearted yet firm decision to avoid working with Vadivelu in future projects. While she did not share specific details about her experience, the actress made it clear that she prefers not to revisit the topic further.

Sona’s revelation has sparked discussions among fans and industry observers about professional boundaries and behind-the-scenes dynamics in the film industry. Many have debated whether turning down multiple opportunities for personal reasons is justified. Interestingly, Vadivelu has not publicly responded to her comments so far.
