Why Ustaad Bhagat Singh Skips the Item Song
As excitement grows around the upcoming Telugu film Ustaad Bhagat Singh, fans are eager to know more about what the movie will offer. Recently, director Harish Shankar shared an important update that has caught everyone’s attention—the film will not include an item song.
Item songs have often been a highlight in commercial Telugu films, especially in mass entertainers. However, the makers of Ustaad Bhagat Singh have decided to take a different approach this time.
Harish Shankar Explains the Decision
Harish Shankar previously worked with PSPK in the blockbuster Gabbar Singh, which featured the famous item number “Kevvu Keka.” The song, performed by Malaika Arora, became hugely popular and was one of the biggest highlights of the film.
But the director says fans should not expect something similar in Ustaad Bhagat Singh. According to him, the decision was made out of respect for PSPK’s current role in public office.
PSPK is currently the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Considering the importance and dignity of this position, the team felt it would be inappropriate to include an item song featuring him.

What to Expect From the Film
Even without an item number, the film promises plenty of entertainment. PSPK plays an IPS officer named Bhagat Singh, a powerful and intense role designed to appeal to mass audiences.
The film also features Raashii Khanna as Shloka and Sreeleela as Geetha. With strong action sequences, engaging storytelling, and Harish Shankar’s signature mass style, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is expected to deliver a complete commercial entertainer for fans.
